The most convenient airport to get to Aberystwyth is Birmingham International. There is a regular direct train connection from the airport (3h 15min). Tickets can be purchased at the train station at the airport or in advance online.

Other options include Manchester (approx 4h 30min by train), London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted or Luton (approx 6h by train or coach), Cardiff (approx 5h 30min by train; 4h 30min by bus), Bristol (5h 30min – 6h 30min by train), and Liverpool (5-6 hours by train). It is advisable to check possible airport bus, train and coach connections before booking.

For information on train connections, please visit: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk. Aberystwyth train station is in the centre of town, a short walk from most accommodation options. The University bunkhouse/campus can be reached on foot in 25 minute. A taxi stand is situated next to the train station.

For information on coach travel from London, please visit: https://www.nationalexpress.com. There are two coach stations, one next to the train station (“Aberystwyth”) and one on campus (“Aberystwyth University”).

If you plan to travel to campus by car, please get in touch with the local organiser (chz8@aber.ac.uk) to sort out parking on campus. We have a limited number of reserved parking spaces next to the conference venue.
